Cynthia M. Stevenson Ph.D.

 

Stevenson is currently Superintendent of Jefferson County Schools, and has served in that capacity, overseeing the education of 86,000 students in 146 schools since the year 2002. She has worked in Jefferson County school administration since 1995, and prior to that, served as principal in both elementary and middle schools and as a classroom teacher. Stevenson has extensive experience in staff development and educational leadership. She earned her undergraduate and advanced degrees from the University of Colorado including a Ph.D. with a major in Administration, Supervision and Curriculum Development and a minor emphasis in Research and Evaluation.
