Mission, Vision and Values of the Caring for Colorado Foundation
The Caring for Colorado Foundation was created to achieve a vision that ensures the people of Colorado are the healthiest in the nation. It is our intention that grants to organizations will result in measurable and visible improvements in the health of individuals and communities. To build measurable and long-lasting success, the following values help us measure the appropriateness of our grantmaking decisions:
- All Coloradans deserve quality health services.
- Collaborative partnerships with communities strengthen the state and the Foundation's efforts.
- Measuring outcomes is important for promoting long-term community health improvements.
Funding priority goes to health projects that:
- Assure accessible, affordable and available health services.
- Are culturally appropriate.
- Address barriers to maximizing health, especially among underserved populations.
- Address the health continuum from prevention, health promotion and direct care to impacting the root causes of health problems.
