Grants in the funding priority area called "Enabling Informed Health Decisions" seek to prevent disease, reduce health risks and improve the health of individuals and/ or communities by disseminating information that promotes informed health decisions.

Projects in this area will result in the delivery of scientifically-validated, relevant health information to a target audience in the hopes that a well-informed population will make healthier choices.

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

• Knowledge of the topic to be addressed, as well as the target population(s).
• Understanding of effective communication strategies for different audiences.
• Cultural competency in communicating information.
• How the data will be linked to interventions that result in community health improvement.
