Promote Prevention

Prevention is the key to improving our state’s overall health and reducing our health care costs.  Therefore, Caring for Colorado is working to support and expand community-based health promotion and disease prevention programs.  We are dedicated to helping Coloradans address the root causes of poor health and ultimately improve both individual and community health.

Caring for Colorado’s prevention funding is focused to:

  • Integrate prevention activities within the delivery of health care services.
  • Implement evidence-based and promising primary prevention programs.
  • Support evidence-based chronic disease management programs.
