Grants in the funding priority area called "Community Health" seek to improve the health status of individuals and/ or communities by addressing unique community-identified health needs. Caring for Colorado will fund projects that respond to community-identified health issues. Successful applicants will demonstrate:

• Knowledge of the extent of the problem in their community.
• Organizational expertise in addressing the health issue(s).
• Effective intervention strategies that reflect best practices for the field.
